Elena Korableva’s recent performances include Cold River Radio Show (NH), 2CELLOS at Boston’s Wang Theater, workshops and performances with the members of Yo- Yo Ma’s Silkroad Ensemble at Global Musician Workshop at DePauw University (IN) and Michael Buble in Manchester (NH). Elena is First Prize Winner at the International Competition of Romantic Music 2017 "The American Protege" and has her Carnegie Hall debut in March. She is also a Finalist of The American Prize competition.This summer she served as a Teaching Assistant at Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music. Elena’s repertoire embraces music of different periods and styles, from Baroque to Contemporary music. Born in Russia, Boston based cellist also improvises and composes music based on Tatar folk songs from her hometown Kazan.
Ms. Korableva was a Symphony Nova Fellow and regularly appears in concerts with Amarantos Quartet (ME), pianists Laura Villafranca, Sivan Etedgee and Trans- Siberian Orchestra. Ms. Korableva performs for Chamber Music Foundation of New England (CMFoNE).
She performed as a soloist with Moscow Chamber Orchestra "Cantus Firmus". As a member of string quartet, Elena won two prestigious competitions in Russia "New Names of Russia" and Chamber Music Festival "Beethoven's Days in Moscow" and toured in Germany and Austria. The same year Elena won First Prize in the Cello Competition in Kazan (Russia)
Elena Performed in such venues as Jordan Hall and House of Blues in Boston, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, House of Music and Moscow Conservatory Grand Hall. Elena attended International Music Festival and Institute at St. Mark’s School, Summer Music Festival in Cambridge, MA, where she won a Third Prize in the International String Competition.
In 2011 Elena received an Instrumental Scholarship from Virtu Foundation, shortly after that she received the 18th century cello and the bow as a gift from Roger O'Neil.
Elena holds BM from Boston Conservatory and MM from Michigan State University where she studied in the international studio of renowned professor Suren Bagratuni and was his Teaching Assistant for two years.
